ZEISS PhotoFusion X is ZEISS’s fastest-ever photochromic lens darkening rapidly in sunlight and fading back to clear indoors with a speed that keeps pace with your day. Combined with BlueGuard technology, it adds a second layer of intelligence: filtering harmful blue-violet light from screens and digital devices without compromising colour accuracy or lens clarity.

The result is a single lens that transitions seamlessly from morning commute to boardroom to afternoon sun adapting to the light around you rather than asking you to adapt to it.

How It Works

PhotoFusion X uses ZEISS’s proprietary self-tinting technology embedded directly into the lens material. When exposed to UV light outdoors, the lens darkens within seconds. Back indoors or away from UV, it clears up to 30% faster than the previous generation. The BlueGuard integration works alongside this at all times, filtering blue-violet wavelengths whether the lens is fully clear, mid-transition, or fully tinted.

What Makes It Different

Most photochromic lenses ask you to choose between sun protection and screen protection. PhotoFusion X with BlueGuard removes that compromise entirely — delivering UV400 sun protection when you’re outside and blue-violet light filtration when you’re in front of a screen, in one continuous, uninterrupted lens.

Some of arché frames are designed to accommodate optical-grade lenses. We recommend ZEISS for their full UV400 coverage across the entire lens surface. ZEISS blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays across every millimetre UV protection standard as quality sunglasses.

If you're uncertain about your prescription or which lens option suits your needs, contact us for guidance. All optical lenses are professionally cut and edged by a certified optician according to your prescription specifications.

Important Notes :.

1. Prescription lenses are non-refundable and are not covered under the same return policy as standard arché sunglasses.
2. Frames fitted with prescription lenses require an additional 10 days on top of the standard delivery lead time.
3. Please ensure your distance or reading power is confirmed before placing your order, and provide your prescription readings accurately for both your right (OD) and left (OS) eye. A confirmation email will be sent to verify that all lens specifications are correctly prescribed before cutting begins. Any errors resulting from incorrect information provided will not be eligible for a refund or replacement.

5. ZEISS PhotoFusion X with BlueGuard lenses are available in dark grey photochromic only. The lens transitions to a dark grey tint under UV light and returns to clear indoors. This is the only colour option available for this lens.
